My passion and interest for filmmaking started at a young age. When I was nine years old, I started to film mini clips and made  small scenarios and recorded them on my mom's phone. As I grew older ,I started my first youtube channel. I have always had a big passion for music videos,  so I started to create my music videos for my favourite songs. I always followed a pattern which is syncing my images with the storyline in the song lyrics. In Andrew goodwin's Music video theory, he has two topics about RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LYRICS AND VIDEO and RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MUSIC AND VISUALS I always used these two theories in my music videos even though I didn't know who he was. Now I am studying media and learning about it, I love having a big interest and learning about new things and connecting the knowledge to work I have done. After making music videos and uploading, I did research about the age group in my channel and what kind of shows they are interested in. The most common was "popular girls" so at age twelve- thirteen years old I started writing my scripts and recording them on a camera. I designed my own set and created my special effects in the studio ( putting play-dough to the figure and making a fake scar, creating a crying effect with the water and using black paint for mascara effect etc.) I spend times and days creating my clothes or studio just to do ten-minute shoots.

 

Filmmaking is really special for me and I love creating every single thing such as writing my scripts or sewing my figure clothes to match my story. At age of thirteen, I started to have more followers. Because of my followers, the toy company (Hasbro) reached out to me and asked me to send toys to do a review on my channel. I started to become a bigger channel ( nobody is perfect, you are not alone) because of the age group and because of my age I knew exactly what people wanted to hear about insecurities and I wanted to help/inspire people with my scenarios. I always get motivated by comments and direct messages that people send me on youtube/Instagram. This all journey directed and made me realise that I love making videos and inspiring people .After my journey which started at a young age, I decided that I wanted to express myself through videos and teach my passion to other people. That's why I started my own after school program. I contacted my headteacher in school in Turkey and explained what I wanted to do told. I wanted to talk about short films and teach about some kind of special effects. I had over 30 people in my class from different age groups. it was a different and amazing experience for me. while teaching how to analyse films and talking about short films I realised younger age groups had really interesting/ different perspectives. it was inspiring for me and I saw lots of people had a huge interest in films and wanted to know about special effects too. I started taking lessons from a director in Turkey and worked with her in 2019 while teaching the stuff I learned from her. When I started my film analysis classes I started to decide that I wanted to study filmmaking. After studying in Turkey ,I wanted to do A level before university . I came to England and wanted to study media and photography as my A levels relate to filmmaking for university and this has been my passion for a long time.
